Understanding Your Virtual Psychology Options: FAQs
Do you accept insurance?
I accept Aetna, out-of-network PPO plans, as well as private pay. For PPO plans, I will provide you a superbill, which allows you to request reimbursement for the $200 out of pocket fee.
What are the benefits of private pay?
Private pay ensures complete confidentiality by avoiding insurance company involvement, which often requires detailed diagnoses and treatment plans to be shared. You will receive discrete, tailored care that is personalized to your needs while eliminating the restrictions that can come along with insurance.
Do you offer in-person appointments?
No, I offer virtual telehealth appointments only. While I used to live and practice in Virginia, I am no longer in the state.
Do you offer evening appointments?
Yes, my office hours are Monday - Thursday 3pm-9pm Eastern Time.
Can you assist with medication?
As a licensed psychologist, I focus on therapy rather than prescribing medication, drawing on my extensive experience in medical and clinical settings to offer informed guidance. While medication isn’t suitable for everyone, I’m here to explore whether it might complement your journey. If appropriate, I can help connect you with trusted providers for medication management, ensuring a seamless, holistic approach to your care.
